SHILLONG: Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Davis Marak said that the mother of the three-week-old infant who passed away after the baby was put inside a bucket in a residence in Mission compound will be examined.
“The status of the case remains the same. We have not been able to examine the mother as she was under depression following the death of her baby,” he told The Shillong Times.
The matter is under investigation. It may be mentioned that in the month of June a three-week-old baby died after the baby was put inside a bucket and the incident took place at around 2:30 am. The incident was condemned by NGOs.
