SHILLONG: The state Cabinet on Friday approved recommendations, including hike in salary, of the high powered expert committee on implementation of the 5th Meghalaya Pay Commission. Home Minister James K Sangma said the Cabinet approved several recommendations. He said the government approved a recommendation where it was mandated to examine and decide the norms for grant of increment in advance to government employees to possess higher qualification from recognised institutions.
