Nongpoh jail Addl SP passes away

SHILLONG: Additional SP of Nongpoh District Jail, Bloyer Talang has passed away at his residence at Lumshyiap (Shanmari) on Friday. He is survived by his wife, five children and grandchildren.
Talang joined the Meghalaya Police as a sub-inspector and was to retire in 2022. Before being promoted to the post of Additional SP in February this year, he had served in several positions, including as inspector of police and deputy superintendent of police. During his long service in the state police, he had served across the State including Sohra, Amlarem, Nongpoh and Shillong. His funeral will be held at Mawkhar Presbyterian Church cemetery at Lawmali at 1 pm on Sunday.
