SHILLONG: Fisheries Minister Comingone Ymbon has made it clear that tests for detecting formalin in imported fishes will continue.
Talking to media persons recently, Ymbon said there was no fresh detection of formalin in imported fishes in the recent past.
In July, Meghalaya banned sale of fish imported from outside the state after some samples tested positive for formalin. Later, the state government lifted the ban on import of fishes from August 22.
