Nongpoh Town Committee appoints new Chairman 

NONGPOH:  Following the resignation of EK Lapang as the Chairman of the Nongpoh Town Committee, a general meeting was held on Saturday in which former KHADC CEM CB Syiem was elected as the new chairman.
Syiem is also the local headman of Umbuda.
The committee also appointed EK Lapang as the new adviser of the town body. The meeting was presided over by Acting Chairman A Kharkongngor in the presence of the Sirdar of Elaka Nongpoh Sirdarship Wanphrang Syiem, Nongpoh Town Committee General Secretary Rayonald Kharkamni and local headmen.
