SHILLONG: Former Chief Minister and CLP leader Mukul Sangma has said there was delay in furnishing his next official residence that resulted in vacating the earlier residence.
“Nothing was ready even on Friday though I moved to the new bungalow three days ago,” Sangma said.
He said some friends wanted to visit the new official residence but could not do so since the furnishing work was still on.
The earlier official residence of DD Lapang, Sherwood Bungalow, at Bishop Cotton road was allotted to Sangma.
Lapang had stayed there for 18 years.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is yet to move into the official residence.
