SHILLONG: The High Level Committee constituted to find out a solution to the relocation of Harijan Colony settlers is yet to submit its recommendation to the government and is still carrying on with the process of meeting all stakeholders before submitting its recommendations to the state government.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who is also the chairman of the committee, on Tuesday said the committee had met the Syiem of Hima Mylliem on Monday and more meetings are lined up for next week.
“Our ultimate aim is to come out with a viable solution,” said Tynsong.
Asked when it is likely to be done, Tynsong said, “Once that is done we will proceed further and give our recommendation to the government.”
