SHILLONG: The Congress on Friday slammed Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong for terming Congress leader Mukul Sangma as the worst chief minister of the state.
“Tynsong is frustrated since he could not become the chief minister despite the promise of NPP leaders prior to the Assembly elections in February and hence is behaving differently,” said Congress spokesperson Zenith Sangma.
Zenith pointed out that prior to the polls, Conrad Sangma and others had projected him as the next leader which, however, did not materialise resulting in his frustration.
According to the Congress spokesperson, it is strange that in the past, Prestone had praised Mukul as a tall leader and this was repeated during the inauguration of Pynursla civil sub-division.
People were warned to beware of leaders like Prestone “who praises a leader when he is with the same party and rejects him later”.
