Border issue: CS writes to Assam counterpart to maintain peace

SHILLONG: Chief Secretary Y Tsering has written to his counterpart in Assam to ensure that there is status quo along the border.
Sources said that following the incidents of incursions from Assam along the border, the chief secretary has written to his Assam counterpart on Monday to ensure that there is no disturbance in the border areas.
Recently, a Khasi resident was killed in Block-II, Ri Bhoi border, leading to tension in the area.
