Mr Meghalaya 2018, P R Kyndiah Memorial Body Building, Men’sPhysique and Women’s Fitness competition organised by MBBFA will be held on September 22 at Aurobindo institute of Indian Culture, Shillong at 4pm.
Get together
The 11th Teacher Social Gathering, Jengjal Area under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills, was held on September 18 at Rongsepgre U.P School. The gathering comprises of all teachers under L.P, U.P, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools. It is a get together among the teacher fraternity. The first ever annual magazine The Voice of Teachers published by the Teachers’ Social gathering was also launched.
Hindi workshop
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong (Meghalaya state) in association with Metallica-Sargam Sports & Cultural Club, Shillong observed Hindi Pakwada, and organised a day-long Hindi workshop at Youth Hostel Auditorium, Shillong. The programme started with lighting of inaugural lamp by the dignitaries followed by their felicitation. Chief Guest Sri VivekandPanditji and Guest of Honour Sri D. Rapsnag, DYC, NYKS graced the programme.
Body formed
The All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers’ Association (AMSSASTA) has formed a new branch under its wing i.e the AMSSASTA East Khasi Hills District which was formed in September 15. The new office bearers include the President Jylliew J. Lyngkhoi, Vice President Rilang Nongkhlaw, general Secretary Wallam Mynsong, joint secretary Gimanshos Lambrang, finance secy Baiahunlang Rngad, publicity secretary Weking Kharsati, organising secretary Barbilous Nongkynrih among others.
