Nation Builders Award presented

SHILLONG: The Inner Wheel Club of Shillong presented the Nation Builders Award and also celebrated World Literacy Day at Raj Bhavan on Friday.

The club presented the Nation Builders Award to six teachers from different schools of Shillong and the club also handed over sanitary vending machine to two schools-Laitumkhrah Bengalee School and Buddha Vidya Niketan School.

Addressing the programme as chief guest, First Lady of the state, Anuradha Roy said, “Teachers mould fresh young minds that will grow up to be nation builders.”

Lauding the club for excellent social service, she said the handing over of the sanitary vending machine to the girls’ school was an extremely considerate act.
