Accident
On September 21, one motorcycle (ML-08C-3951) ridden by Billithson Sangma (42) collided with one Bolero pick-up at Skagre-Gildinggre Road in South West Garo Hills. The motorcycle rider and his wife sustained grievous injuries and were taken to PHC Ajongpara and were later referred to Tura Civil Hospital, while the driver of the Bolero pick-up fled after the incident.
Woman held for peddling drugs
On September 20, police apprehended one drug peddler identified as Graceful Sumer (37) from Iawmusiang, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills and seized 14.06 grams of heroin from her possession.
Cattle theft
Sarin Dkhar lodged a complaint stating that on September 14 around 8 pm, miscreant(s) stole eight heads of cattle valued at Rs 4,80,000 from his cowshed at Mukhla in West Jaintia Hills.
