TURA: Former Chief Executive Member of GHADC, who was ousted from power by the NPP earlier this year, had allegedly played a role in the burgeoning number of employees by clearing the appointment of over twenty-eight new staff before he demited office, it was revealed.

The GHADC has been unable to obtain funds for payment of its over two thousand strong employees for the last fifteen months.

However, political compulsions appear to be the cause for the frequent clearance of ‘illegal’ staff appointment in the district council.

The agitating employees association have demanded from the current NPP led EC the dismissal of the new appointments allegedly done by Boston Marak.

EC sources reveal that besides ousted CEM Boston Marak, two other members of his then Executive Committee (both sitting MDCs) had also played a role by putting their own candidates in the list that was cleared by Boston.

Interestingly, the current Secretary of the GHADC, H A Sangma, had cleared the appointment of more than twenty-eight new employees during Boston Marak’s time despite being in the loop about the problem of rising employees number in the GHADC.
