Gratitude
The Khasi Authors’ Society (KAS) expressed its gratitude to the public for their support on the rally held on Saturday. The KAS also thanked the singers for entertaining the audience with soulful music, politicians and public representatives, schools, colleges, District administration. A delegation of the KAS also visited the five people who were injured when a tent which was set up by another organisation collapse and wished them well.

Condolence
Muay Thai Association of Meghalaya (MTAM) and Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association (MSKA) sent their condolence on the death of Mitelda Sun (Ludieit) mother of Angelus Sun, president of MTAM and an ardent supporter of MSKA. The Sports Association- Muaythai and Kickboxing held a two minute silence.

Office bearers
The Dorbar Shnong of Mawiong Umjapung has elected its new office bearers with headman as A. Kharkongor, assistant Rangbah Shnong is J. S. Chyrngap, M. Jyrwa and L. Kharbuki as Secretaries, H. Massar, assistant secretary besides other executive members.

Annual meeting
The annual general meeting of Srimanta Sankardev Cultural Centre was held on Saturday. During the meeting, the members condoled the death of some of its devotees, members and residents of Shillong. The outgoing Managing Committee resigned and a new committee was formed with Dr U.K Hazarika as the president, C.P Talukdar as the vice president, Sonit Phukan as general secretary and Biju Phukan as treasurer.
