Mawlai Block monitoring panel in Oct

SHILLONG: Community and Rural Development Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar said in the Assembly on Tuesday that the process to notify the Block Monitoring Development Committee to look after the affairs of Mawlai Community and Rural Development Block was in progress.
During the question hour, Mawlai legislator P T Sawkmie (Congress) expressed concern over the delay on the part of the government to notify the committee. In a reply, Dhar said that the committee will be notified in October.
Sawkmie thanked the minister for the prompt reply and added that he wanted others to emulate the minister in taking pro-active steps.
