Three injured in separate road mishaps

SHILLONG: Kyntiborlang Kharhunai (M/31) was on his way home driving a Celerio car (ML 05 5812) when the car faced a brake problem making him lose control. The driver dashed into a huge drain at Golflink Shyiap around 6 pm sustaining back injury along with other minor injuries. Pre-hospital care was administered and he was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital by Shillong-based 108 ambulance.
Finingstar Nongkhlaw (M/27) met with an accident around 7.30 pm while he was travelling in his bike in an inebriated state when he accidently hit a dog and felt down. He sustained laceration on the knee along with minor injuries. First aid was administered and he was shifted to Bethany Hospital by Shillong-based 108 ambulance.
Elizabeth Sawkmie (35) who was riding pillion in her friend’s bike met with an accident around 1.30 pm. First aid was administered and the victim was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong by 108 ambulance.
Man attempts suicide
A suicide case was reported from Baladeng in West Garo Hills on Friday where a 40-year-old male hanged himself with a curtain in his room which was locked from the inside. Police broke open the door and found the victim unconscious. After giving CPR, he was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital by 108 ambulance.
