SHILLONG: The Synjuk ki Sordar Shnong Krang Area Pyllun of Sohïong has demanded removal of Bashemphang Thabah as Lyngdoh of Hima Sohïong alleging high-handedness.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, former Lyngdoh of Hima Sohiong Phriden Thabah said people had filed many complaints against Bashemphang with the KHADC.
The former Lyngdoh alleged that Bashemphang misuses. He alleged that when a conflict took place in the village over land, Bashemphang declared the owner dead when she was still alive.
Phriden said Kjun Kharthangmaw is the rightful owner of a land at Nongrim Shylla Krang.
“He also lied that Dri Kharthangmaw is the mother of Kjun when in fact they are siblings,” Phriden said.
Pointing to another “surprising account”, the former Lyngdoh said the village of Krang which has a population of not less than 700 households has over 11 Sordar Shnong to look over the village.
“We demand that the KHADC immediately remove Bashemphang as he is trying to divide the village,” he said.
