NONGPOH: The NPP, Mawhati Block, on Friday felicitated National Award recipient Banica Nongrum for securing third prize in post card letter writing competition on Swachh Hi Seva under Swacch Bharat Mission in which the award was conferred by the Prime Minister on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti recently in Delhi.
Banica, a class V student of Ingsaw Govt UP School in Ri Bhoi, was conferred third prize by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for writing a letter to him on Swachh Bharat.
Speaking at the felicitation programme at Demseiniong in the city, Local MLA and Block president of NPP, Dasakhiatlang Lamare lauded Banica for receiving the National Award and bringing laurel to the constituency and to state as a whole.
The programme was also attended by working president, R.M Mukhim, vice president, Banshan Nongrum, headmaster of Ingsaw Govt UP School, Brightstar Mujai and others.
