NONGSTOIN: In a case of hit and run, a person was killed in West Khasi Hills.
The deceased, identified as Josterfield Nongsiej (27) of Rambrai village, was returning from Ramphar football field under Mawthungmarwei village when he was run over by a pickup truck.
Nongsiej was being taken to Nongstoin Civil Hospital, however, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
A case has been registered and the police are on the lookout for the driver of the truck.
