KHNAM ‘detects’ 139 non-tribal drivers sans labour license

SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) youth wing claimed to have detected over 139 non-tribal drivers who do not possess any labour license issued by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

In a letter to the CEM of KHADC HS Shylla, president of youth wing, Thomas Passah criticised the Labour Department of the KHADC for the failure to check the unregulated issuing of labour licenses.

He informed that non-tribal drivers were detected from location of Polo, Khyndailad, Mawprem, Laban and other places.
