SHILLONG: A couple was arrested in the city on Wednesday and more than 180 gm of suspected heroin was seized from their possession.
Around 8.15 am on Wednesday, police arrested one Niang Kang Zou from Madanrting Block-E and found a soap case containing 11.97 gm of yellowish-orange powder suspected to be heroin.
They found another 169.91 gm of yellowish-orange powder after searching her house. Later, Niang Kang Zou’s husband Muanlal Nganthan was also arrested.
