Banica feted for cleanliness letter to PM

NONGPOH: Banica Nongrum, a Class V student of Ingsaw Government LP School in Ri Bhoi, was felicitated by the Mawhati Mahila Block Congress Committee (MMBCC) at a function held at Nongjri on Saturday for her feat of achieving the third best post card letter on cleanliness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Competing with 114 millions of children from across the country is not an easy task, one requires hard work, dedication and sound knowledge to achieve the National Award,” said Santi Jyrwa, president, MMBCC.
Banica was felicitated with the support of the two local MLAs of Nongpoh and Umroi, Mayralborn Syiem and George B Lyngdoh and former MDC of Mawhati, Otril Pamshong.
