SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy said he is not an outsider, adding “We are not outsiders but we all are Indians.”
The governor said this at the celebration of puja at Shree Shree Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samiti pandal at CWE MES in the city on Wednesday.
“One person told me here that we are all outsiders but I don’t agree with this. We are not outsiders and we are all Indians,” the governor said.
He said that in India, anybody can settle anywhere and there is no question of being an outsider.
Roy also congratulated the Puja Committee for organising such extravagant celebration and urged the committee to keep organising such events in the future as well.
