Dudhnoi: A public meeting will be organised by the Garo Sahitya Sabha (GSS) for inclusion of Garo Language in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
Garo intellectuals, public leaders, the leaders of all the Garo NGOs of both Assam and Meghalaya, the Garo women bodies, students’ organisations are urged to attend the meeting which will be held at Nisangram in Resubelpara, East Garo Hills at 11 am on Saturday.
Two new Garo books written by Starson G. Momin, published by the Garo Sahitya Sabha will also be released on that day.
