SHILLONG: Four MDCs from People’s Democratic Front (PDF) James Sylliang, Blanding Warjri, Latiplang Kharkongor and Grace Kharpuri tendered their resignation from the party on Tuesday.

In a major political development, the exit of the four MDCs from the one-year-old party comes in the wake of internal bickering.

The four MDCs argued they were “weary of the manner in which the party is being  run”. Matters got murkier following the resignation of PN Syiem from the post of CEM of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

The MDCs asserted their suggestions were not considered when the new leader of the party in the district council was selected when after Syiem had stepped down as the CEM.
