Meghalaya team leaves for 1st NE Olympic Games

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Olympic Association in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs organised a send off for 216 athletes including technical and support staff to the 1st NorthEast Olympic Games to be held from October 24-28 at Imphal. The Working President of Meghalaya State Olympic Association, John F. Kharshiing and Director of Sports, Matsiewdor War Nongbri, on Monday, addressed the contingent comprising of athletes from 11 Sports Associations namely Archery, Karate, Athletics, Boxing, Table Tennis, Judo, Wushu, Football, Shooting, Taekwondo and Weightlifting at JN Sports Complex, Polo Ground.
