Nongkrem Block Cong president resigns

SHILLONG: The working president of Nongkrem Block Congress Committee (NBCC), Lamborsing Nongrum resigned from the post on Wednesday.
In a letter addressed to NBCC general secretary, Rupert Lyngdoh, Nongrum has cited personal grounds as the reason for his resignation.
Nongrum also contested the 2016 council by-election on Congress ticket from Nongkrem and came in second.
HS Shylla, the KHADC chief executive member, had won the Nongkrem by-poll.
