Shops gutted in midnight blaze at Tura

TURA: A late night inferno that broke out just before midnight at Araimile market in Tura on Wednesday night destroyed several shops and came close to engulfing the State Bank of India branch. As many as half a dozen fire tenders had to be pressed into service and managed to quell the blaze after more than an hour of struggle. Goods worth several lakhs of Rupees were damaged in the blaze.
