SHILLONG: Cabinet Minister Hamlet Dohling said on Monday the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has candidates for the Lok Sabha election but there was no final decision on whom to field.
Dohling was replying to a query on the confusion over common candidate after the central executive committee meeting of the party.
On council polls, he said the central election committee will meet on November 8 to discuss the modalities.
When asked about the party’s internal problems, Dohling said the party has ignored minor issues and “we have come to a conclusion that we will be united”.
However, he admitted that despite the unity, “minor issues are still there and such minor misunderstanding is present in every political party”.
The PDF central executive committee on Monday accepted the resignation of Grace Kharpuri, Blanding Warjri, Latiplang Kharkongor and James Sylliang.
