SHILLONG: BJP state president Shibun Lyngdoh has referred the matter pertaining to the allegations of cash for ticket to the disciplinary committee of the party.
Lyngdoh said the candidate made the allegation during the state executive committee meeting on September 15 without any evidence.
Ajay Jamwal, the BJP’s organising secretary in-charge North East, during the meeting of the core committee had made it clear that the candidate who levelled the charges “can bring proof and the matter can be discussed before conducting an inquiry”, Lyngdoh informed.
The candidate has not yet produced any evidence to substantiate his claims.
The state BJP leadership has been asked to issue a show-cause notice to the whistle blower. The party has not ordered any probe into the allegation.
