Teen killed, 2 injured in separate accidents

SHILLONG: A teenager was killed and two persons were injured in separate accidents in the city in the last two days.
On Wednesday at 9.48pm, the two-wheeler that Iainehbok Basaiawmoit (17), was riding lost control at Rhino Point to Oxford as he was speeding, witnesses said.
Basaiawmoit sustained head injury and became unconscious. The 108 Ambulance, after giving first aid, took him to Civil Hospital in a critical condition. He was declared dead by the doctor on duty.
In another accident that took place later at night on Wednesday, 25-year-old Ribha Rynjah was critically injured when the Alto she was travelling in rammed against a side wall at Sohryngkhamneng. Rynjah sustained head injuries and was in a critical condition when Mawryngkneng-based 108 Ambulance took her to Supercare Hospital.
In a third accident around 6am on Thursday, Pynshngainlang M Umlong (36), was injured in an accident after the tourist vehicle he was travelling in fell into a roadside drain near Lad Umsaw.
He sustained injuries and after first aid 108 Umsning Ambulance took him to Civil Hospital Shillong.
