KSU detects over 298 trucks without documents

JOWAI: The KSU, War Jaintia Circle on Monday conducted a checking at Amlarem and Dawki areas against trucks transporting lime stones to Bangladesh. The union detected more than 298 trucks owned by non-tribals were without valid documents and trading license.
The organisation had warned them to immediately stop their business activities in the area until they furnish necessary documents from the concerned authorities.
The Circle general secretary, Lurman B Talang in a statement said, “The illegal plying of such trucks owned by non-tribals will affect the economy of local truck owners and the State Government and we urge the authorities concerned particularly the Transport department to check such illegal activities in the area”.
