MAWKYRWAT: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Mawkyrwat Circle, president, Elevenson Wanniang had recently donated CGI sheets to three BPL families at South West Khasi Hills.
In a meeting held at Mawbidong, Wanniang said that he want to reach out to poor families and help them.
While saying that 99 per cent of the people in Riwar Sepngi areas depend on agriculture, he informed that the KSU had recently met the Government officials and urged them to focus more on the rural areas for the betterment of the locals.
While emphasising on tourism sector, the leader said Riwar Sepngi is known for its scenic beauty. “To make your villages popular so that more tourists will visit, all of you should preserve the environment and maintain cleanliness,” he said.
