Opposition to Citizenship Bill

SHILLONG: The All Jaintia Youth Welfare Organization (AJYWO) will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of Home Affairs, Rajnath Singh to demand the cancellation of Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016.
In a statement issued here, the president of AJYWO, MH Dkhar said they support the stand of North East Students Organization (NESO) in registering their protest against the Bill.
The organisation stated that Bill will pose a threat to the minority indigenous community in the state as well as the North Eastern region as a whole.
