Ex-KSU leader to contest from Congress

SHILLONG: Former general secretary of KSU Auguster Jyrwa will contest on Congress ticket from Jaiaw for KHADC polls.
The decision was taken in a joint meeting held on November 30 at the residence of Jyrwa at Jaiaw Langsning, in the presence of the MLA of the Shillong West Constituency, Mohendro Rapsang.
President and Secretary of the Block Congress Committees of the Shillong North and Shillong West constituencies, including the members were present.
Jyrwa is the nephew of late S. M. Jyrwa, Ex-MDC from Jaiaw Constituency.

Meanwhile, the joint executive committee meeting of the North Shillong Block Congress Committee and Pynthorumkhrah Block Congress Committee held on November 30 at Congress Bhavan, in the presence of F.M. Massar, Block Election observer, has recommend the candidature of Banpynshngainlang Rumnong to contest the KHADC polls from Mawkhar – Pynthorumkhrah constituency.
