Governor inaugurates PFR Nissan Junior Cup

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy, on Thursday, inaugurated the PFR Nissan Junior Cup organised by Pay For Right Shillong in the presence of the Anil Kumar, Executive Director, NEEPCO; MK Mao, General Manager, NEEPCO; Arkie Nongrum, CEO, Meghalaya Football Asscociation; Andrew Suting, Development Officer, AIFF, Meghalaya; Wallamkupar Kharpran, Reliance Foundation and the sales manager of Nissan Orange.
A total of 56 teams will be competing in the tournament which will be held from December 8 to 15 for category 7, 8 and 10 at the Shillong Public School Football Ground. Matches for category 12, 13 and 15 will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex in Polo from December 17 onwards.
The governor also felicitated local youth Rocus Lamare during the inaugural programme.
