218 cases settled in Lok Adalat

SHILLONG: The National Legal Services Authority organised Lok Adalat in Meghalaya on Saturday with the support of Chief Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice S R Sen, who is the chairman of Meghalaya State Legal Ser-vices Authority (MSLSA).
Around 218 cases were disposed of by the Lok Adalat benches across the state. Cases were settled at an amount of Rs 78,89,019.
The MSLSA has called upon people with pending litigation to come forward to take the opportunity for speedy and beneficial settlement of their disputes in the Courts through Lok Adalat which is held from time to time.
