SHILLONG: St Edmund’s College felicitated 85 rank holders in North-Eastern Hill University degree examination 2018 at a function held on Saturday.
Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui was the chief guest at the event organised by the college to celebrate the achievement of the students.
The minister lauded the rank holders, parents and teachers of the college. A former student of the institution, Rymbui expressed his gratitude to the college.
He advised the students to be close to their teachers and maintain a good relationship and to approach them to solve their academic problems. Lamenting on the fact that the youngsters are not interested towards the Indian Administration Service and allied services, the minister urged students to prepare and appear in competitive examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
He also called upon the students to respect and protect the environment and to take steps to ensure that the future generation enjoys what we are enjoying today.
