Public distribution system training held

TURA:  A day-long training on Public Distribution System (PDS) wholesalers’ module for the approved wholesalers’  as well as for the supply officials of West  and South West Garo Hills including those from Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division was held on Monday at DRDA Conference Hall, Tura.
It was organised and conducted by the Project Management Unit (PMU) of Directorate of Food Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs Department, Shillong.
The basic aim of the training programme was to ensure transparency in the implementation of National Food Security Acts (NFSA), 2013, in the state right from the level of deposits, lifting and distributions of food grains to the beneficiaries.
Hands on training was also imparted to all the trainees regarding whole sell module and supply chain management under the Food Essential Assurance Security Target (FEAST).
