· The Cabinet on Thursday approved service extension of the Secretary of the Meghalaya State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission for another year. The services of HN Arengh have been extended and the date of his extension is from September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019.
· The Cabinet on Thursday approved the name of Major Kumar Agarwala as a member of the State Food Commission. Agarwala was approved after the retirement of RL Sethia.
· The Cabinet has approved the draft rules for the Meghalaya Food Security Rules since the passing of the National Food Security Act in 2013.
· The Cabinet approved the draft service rules of the Food Safety officers.
