SHILLONG: Rev. Fr. Andreas Sutnga of the Shillong Archdiocese passed away on Monday.
A Mass will be held for him in the Cathedral on Tuesday at 4:30 pm. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday in the Cathedral at 1:00 pm and will be followed by the burial rites in the Catholic Cemetery in Laitumkhrah.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
