GUWAHATI: Purvanchal Janata Party (Secular), a political party floated in 2015, on Thursday said it would contest in all the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the Northeast.
Addressing a media conference here, the party’s national convener, Mukesh Singh said the party would contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from around 15 states of the country.
“In the Northeast, we will contest in all the 25 Lok Sabha seats and we are confident that our party will emerge as the third front in the country’s politics,” Singh said.
He further said, “For the last several years, some political parties in Indian politics have been working for spreading hatred in the name of caste and religion in the people of the country for which the situation in many provinces of the country remains tense.”
“Our party believes that as long as every village of our country does not evolve, our country will not be developed because India lives in villages. We follow the ideals of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose for all round development of the country and bring people from all the religions and classes of the country along with them,” Singh said.
The party leader further said that emphasis would be given to young candidates and women.
