SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) informed there will be a meeting of former leaders of the union on Saturday at Khasi National Dorbar Hall at 12 noon. The union will discuss on the 40 years of journey of the union in its service to the indigenous people. The KSU was formed on March 20, 1978.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
