Rice released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills Tura has informed that PHH and AAY Rice for the beneficiaries for the month of January 2019 in respect of Tura urban and rural based fair price shop dealers have been released. All the beneficiaries may purchase their quota from their respective fair price shop dealers.

The Deputy Commission and Returning Officer, District Council Election, East Jaintia Hill District, Khliehriat has informed that the Draft Photo Electoral Roll for Tuber, Musniang Ryngat, Rymbai Khliehriat, Sutnga Norwan, Sutnga Nongkhlieh, Sumer, Saipung, Narpuh and Bataw Lakadong have been published and available for inspection in DC’s office Election Branch during working hours on all working days.
Workshop
The NIC in collaboration with the State IT Department will jointly be hosting an awareness workshop on Enterprise Architecture on January 14 at Yojana Bhavan, Conference Hall at 10:00 am. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will be the chief guest while the state IT Minister, Hamletson Dohling will attend as the guest of honour.
Album launch
Local talent 4th Element will be releasing its debut album on Saturday at Andante Music School, Fire Brigade next to The Wok restaurant above Hero Showroom at 3:30 p.m. Lou Majaw will be releasing album during the hour long program.
Unclaimed body
On December 22,2018 around 3.45 pm, an unknown male (around 45-49 years) was brought to Civil Hospital Shillong by 108 from Happy Valley. He passed away on January 4 at 1.45 pm. The body is kept at the hospital mortuary for identification. He was wearing a brown pant and brown shirt. For identification, contact 0364-2222277.
