Stones pelted at bus of Ksan mine rescuers

SHILLONG: Miscreants pelted stones at a vehicle which was carrying rescue operation team members assigned to the coal mine mishap site at Ksan in East Jaintia Hills during the stay of the road protest on Thursday night.
Police said that around 8.15 pm, miscreants pelted stones at a bus (ML05 K 8971) at Lumshnong area which was ferrying the rescue operation team from Odisha.
Partial damage to the vehicle was reported while there was no report of injury to the occupants.
On Friday morning around 5 am, police detected some youths burning tyres on the road near Malki Point, Shillong.
Police managed to apprehend one of the youth who was later identified as Bamanbha Marsharing.
