SHILLONG: Irked at the apathy of the GVK management, the Meghalaya EMRI Workers Union 108 (MEMRIWU) informed it would start its third phase of agitation starting from midnight of January 15.
In a statement issued here, the union said it would stop sending reports to the management as a mark of protest. The union reiterated the agitation it will not affect its services to the public.
The union said the management did not pay heed to the demands of the union such as increased salaries, leave, overtime etc., in conformity to Labour laws, increasing staff strength and upgradation of vehicles.
