SHILLONG: The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has urged Union Health Minister JP Nadda to give preference to local candidates for recruitment of staff nurses at NEIGRIHMS.
In a letter to the minister, LJP state president Jamil Ahmed thanked Nadda for sanctioning 301 posts but pointed out that the institute needs 840 staff nurses.
Ahmed said Meghalaya has a large number of qualified youths for the post of staff nurses and added that preference should be given to local candidates during recruitment to “ease the problem of unemployment”.
