Sporting Club, Sumer SC win in Shillong Cricket League

SHILLONG: In the 1st match of Shillong Cricket League between Sales XI v Sporting Club, Sporting Club won by 49 runs. Sales XI won the toss and elected to Field first. Sporting Club then scored 174/6 in 20 overs. Govind Pradhan batted very well and scored51 runs in 29 balls and Udit Rai scored a quickfire 26 runs in 13 balls. Debashish Ganguly bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets and Swaroop Dey took 2 wickets. While, Sales XI scored 125/7 in 20 overs. Debarun Bhattacharjee scored a brilliant 41 runs in 40 balls and Prabhat Borahscored 13 runs in 14 balls. Jiten Rabha and Om Chettri took 2 wickets each. While in the 2nd match of the Shillong Cricket League between Matri Sangha v Sumer SC, Sumer SC won by 6 wickets. Matri Sangha won the toss and elected to bat first. Matri Sangha then scored 77/10 in 17.1 overs. Suraj Chettri scored 18 runs in 6 balls and Sawmydeep scored just 16 runs in 26 balls. Milan Sharma and Pranjal Medhi took 3 wickets each. Sumer SC then scored 81/4 in 12.4 overs. Subroto Singha scored 36 runs in 22 balls and Deekreet Chandranath scored 24 runs in 35 balls. Suraj Chettri got 2 wickets and Monojit Das got 1 wicket.
