Inter locality games competition held

TURA:  In the run up for National Voters Day celebration on 25th January, 2019, invitational inter locality games competition was held at New Tura Playground, Tura on Wednesday.

It was organised by Deputy Commissioner (Election), West Garo Hills Tura in collaboration with Sunny Hills Sports Committee and New Tura Sunny Hills Youth Club.

In his brief address, Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Ram Singh informed about the objectives of National Voters Day and urged everyone eligible to enroll themselves and get their EPIC Card. He also thanked the locality people and organizers for the success of the programme.

 

In the day long programme, Tug of War, Plate Race, Sack Race, Marble Race, Obstacle Race and 100 Metres Race for both boys and girls were organized participated by various localities of the town.

 

The Overall Champion of the competition is bagged by Rongkhon locality followed by Sunny Hills locality and Upper Matchakolgre (ITI area) as first and second runners up respectively. Meanwhile, in the Tug of War, Rongkhon locality is the winner and Araimile and Hawakhana locality are first and second runners up.

 

Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Sabrella Marak, Nokma, Sunny Hills locality, N R Sangma, members of the Sunny Hills Youth Club and Sports Committee, participants of various localities were among others present at the programme.
