SHILLONG: Four home guards and civil defence personnel will receive awards from President Ramnath Kovind on Republic Day.
The President approved the award of Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal to Lawansuk Syiemlieh, assistant deputy controller of Civil Defence, Nongpoh, and Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for meritorious service to Krossli Marboh, junior instructor at the central training institute of Civil Defence and Home Guards, Delin Syrling, junior instructor, central training institute, Civil Defence and Home Guards and Phillipson Raksam Marak, havildar at district training centre, Home Guards, Nongstoin.
List of awardees of police medal for meritorious service for Republic day are Francis Girlang Kharshiing, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ploster Syiem, IIND in Commandt five TH MLP, Samgong, Williamnagar, Joelarson B. Marak, AB-Inspector, 5th MLP Bn. Basudev Bargayary, leading fireman will be awarded a fire service medal for meritorious service.
